I am Thiago Moshe and I am an English teacher based in Brazil.

I have been teaching English since 2004 and have 15,000+ hours of teaching experience. With lots of love and care for students’ development, I set up my own private tutoring school called EYE!nglish at the age of 23 and since then have expanded in ways to teach English globally. I am eager to be able to share with my peeps the joy and fun of improving your language learning.

As a learner, I started studying English when I was 10 years old in a private institution. In Brazil, if you want to learn a foreign language, you need to study in such institutions. They usually provide classes twice a week, 1h30 per class. I always enjoyed the learning process and at the age of 19, after having taken the CAE (Certificate in Advanced English by Cambridge University), I decided to start teaching and fell in love with it. Since then, I developed a very strong will to help my students achieve their dreams – be it in studying abroad, taking a master’s degree or a PhD, or learning the language with mastery, confidence and autonomy. I am glad to have many success stories told by our students on our Facebook page.

In order to do a great work at learning or teaching, competence and knowledge are required. Competence can be acquired, learnt or born with. Knowledge is built, definitely. A mix of both of them make the LEARNING ENVIRONMENT a successful and unforgettable setting. International certificates such as the FCE, CAE, CPE and ECPE attest my constant responsibility in advancing my teaching skills.

I have a compilation of EFL techniques for boosting students interest and performance in class, and my teaching motto is the Language Learning TRIPOD: mastery, confidence and autonomy (learn more about them below). As far as teaching English as a foreign language goes, I am a great believer that English can change people’s mind and lives, and the teacher is the bridge between students’ current knowledge and his/her next level.

As far as technology is concerned, developing activities that enhance students’ knowledge of the language is of utmost importance in my teaching. That is why I make use of many tech tools inside and outside the class to take my students to their next level in English learning.

I started an Instagram project (@activateyourenglish) back in September 2015 and this portal is now a result of a lot of thought, effort and care put into taking my dear followers to their next level in English.
